Ashley Rubell is a writer and hair stylist in New York.
With nearly two decades of experience behind the chair and on set, Ashley brings her editorial eye and effortless modern edge to haircut clients in NYC and the Catskills, where she resides. She frequently travels the globe for destination weddings, offering brides timeless beauty with a contemporary point of view.
After nearly a decade in beauty journalism, Ashley earned her MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars. Her bylines have regularly appeared in Write or Die, Tidal Magazine and Byrdie, where she developed a reputation for thoughtful cultural commentary and rigorous product analysis. She is currently at work on her genre-bending debut and seeking literary representation.
Drawing from her dual background in professional beauty and literary culture, Ashley is the founder of SHELF CARE, a curated retail concept coming soon to the Western Catskills.
